In the name of Allah the most merciful and most may peace be upon the last messager prophet Muhammad (sal)
Our religion Islam is based on five pillars. They are Kalimah, Prayer alms, Fasting, Sahad and Pilgrimage (Haj).
The third obligation of a Muslim is fasting or sawm in the month of Ramadan and that is the topic that I am going to deliver the speech.
According to the Islamic calendar Ramadan the 09th month. People think that it is only a month of fasting but there are many other aspects in the month of Ramadan and also there are many other names that is used to call the month of Ramadan. They are the month of Al Quran month brings a muslim clase to lord the month which doors of heaven is opened and the hell is closed and the month of good deeds.
Prophet Muhammad (sal) most of the time ask the following Dua "Ya allah give us the chance to reach the month of Ramadan"
All the Muslims in the world fast from dawn to dusk. It is a month of training for everyone. It is called a month "giving" wealthy people help needly people to fast and provide food when they breakfast in the evening special sermans are organized for men and women in the Masjid. Giving fitra rice is an obligation for every Muslim before the end of the month of Ramadan. It is a month where we get a training to control our emotion. The last days of Ramadan is a very important period to every Muslims. The night where the holy Quran was revealed to the prophet Muhammad (sal) is " Lailathul kathr" night. A night better than thousand nights.
One can speak about Ramadan for days because it is a holy month that it teaches many things to practice in our life.
May Allah bless us in the month of Ramadan and forgive our Sins.
